Why Personal Style Matters Over Luxury

I was having a conversation with a friend once, and she made a statement about buying designer clothes to look stylish. At that moment, all I could think of was the number of women who had become devoted to the practice of buying luxury clothes in the hopes of looking chic and fashionable.

Well, the truth about luxury fashion is that it is built around so many factors. It is not dependent on beautiful or quality clothes alone because style is the overall view of who you are as a person, what you like, and what you are comfortable wearing.

What is Luxury Fashion, and what is Style?

Luxury fashion encompasses clothing items made from high-quality materials which are durable and long-lasting. It involves using unique pieces that may cost a fortune to acquire.

Style, on the other hand, is unique to every individual. It gives direction to who we are. It comprises all fashion activities taken towards expressing ourselves through clothes.

Now that you know what luxury and style mean, today’s blog will focus on why luxury clothes are not necessarily the answer to the question of ‘how to look stylish.’

Luxury and style are different. Your style shows who you are, what fits you, and what looks good on your body shape. It helps you identify your preferences. When you know your style, you know colors that suit your skin tone.

Luxury fashion is more about your experience using new and usually popular items. With luxury fashion, you are guaranteed trendy and well-designed looks (curated with unique clothing pieces), even though you can style your clothes to look beautiful without luxury.

Luxury fashion is known as luxury fashion because it relies solely on high-grade materials. These are pieces that are environmentally and culturally sustainable. Sustainability is a significant recycling process in an ever-growing and evolving society like ours.

The fashion industry, for example, is one of the few industries that consume and throws out fabrics at the advent of something new and supposedly of a higher quality. As an adverse result, the craze for durable clothing has increased. People are willing to spend lots of money to shop for long-lasting, long-lasting items that can serve their purposes well.

It’s essential to start with the question of what looks good on you. If you know your style, you can eliminate the effort and money spent purchasing luxury items that would not suit you. You will only consider buying products that are long-lasting and genuinely stylish.

I'd like you to know that anyone who can mix and match clothes to fit their body shape has discovered their Style. The concept of Style is not dependent on trends or popularity. It is solely built on identifying your body shape and dressing for it.

When you know your body type and the clothes that suit you, you can start shopping for luxury items. These items will last longer in your functional wardrobe and be wearable in and out of season. With insight into your style, you can purchase pieces from any type of store and make something work with the clothes you have.

Style and Luxury fashion are commonly used interchangeably. However, they are different, and below are two simple reasons why.

  1. The style aims to know about you, your body shape, and what you enjoy wearing.

  2. The motive behind luxury fashion is to own clothes uniquely designed, long-lasting, and made with suitable quality fabrics that are neutral to our environment.

You may have all the designer items and need a sense of style or have few designer clothes but know how to make what you have to look good on you.

Regardless of what category you fall into, before purchasing luxury brands, you understand what looks good on you so that your purchases will be worth the investment. You’ll look stylish but also classy, elegant, and sophisticated.
