What fall trend are you looking forward to this season?

The fall season begins today—September 22, 2020. For the first time in many fall seasons, my closet and I are ready for the weather change, new colours, and shorter days. As a stylist, the fall season is an opportunity to try new outfits and accessories. Although the rain and cold temperature are big factors in choosing what to wear during the fall, this season presents us with several outfit choices that can keep us feeling warm and looking elegant.

This year, I am starting out the season with a delightful combination of a sweatshirt from NA-KD, midi-skirt from TopShop, and boots from Aldo. The almond milk-hues of the sweatshirt and midi-skirt has been tipped to be one of the top 9 colour trends you can expect to see this fall season. I love this colour so much because it gives the outfit a luxurious and modern look. With a backdrop of falling leaves and raindrops, it looks even more amazing.

The midi-skirt is designed to flow all the way down the back of your calves and stops just above your ankles. This free-flowing skirt keeps your legs warm while enhancing the curves in your hips and backside. Generally, midi-skirt makes every body size, shape, and type look better but this one, in particular, helps your waist appear slimmer. With the slits on both sides of the skirts, you have room to flaunt your legs and be comfortable in your strides.

The puff and split cuff of the sweatshirt’s sleeves compliment this look perfectly. It gives the sweatshirt—and frankly, the entire outfit—a stylish and futuristic look. That said, I love how simple the sweatshirt is. It pairs well with the midi-skirt but it can be worn with pants as well. It goes well with a skirt but can also be worn with pants and it would still be styled well. The necklace accessories tops off the look. Overall, this is an awesome way to start the fall season.
