Colour Combinations to try this summer

I don’t think of myself as a fan of colours.

But then again, I don’t think I’m big on neutral colours either. I tend to focus more on the overall style of the outfit more than anything else. However, I know a lot of people can be selective about the colours they wear.

Some love bright colours, others prefer simple colours that don’t attract unnecessary attention and some others like to have a good balance. The good news is there’s no wrong or right way about it.

But if you’re looking to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, you’ll find these colour combinations listed below to be quite helpful.

Keep in mind that I always recommend striking the balance between bold colours and neutral colours. So, here are my top five preferred colour combinations that are currently trending:

  1. Yellow and brown - Brown goes perfectly well with warm colours like yellow. I love this combination because it’s an easy way to ease yourself into wearing more colours. The yellow stands out as a bright colour while the brown will be more of a neutral colour. This provides a nice contrast that allows you to blend in while looking good.

2. Blue and Brown -

3. Orange and Yellow - These are two warm vibrant colours and together, they are a fun combination. Wearing orange and yellow is perfect for stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something entirely different. For people who have bold personalities, this will be the perfect combination.

4. Pink and Red - This is one of the season's coolest colour pairings. These are both cool colours so they have the same undertone and intensity which makes it easy to pair together. Personally, I believe it is a balance between too bold and too subtle and that is what makes it fun to me because anyone can wear this combination.

5. Lavender and Mint

When wearing any of these combinations,  you should consider wearing shades that will complement your skin colour best. Wearing the right shade is very important because we all have different undertones.

If you do not know what colours will compliment your skin, I will recommend taking a colour analysis test to learn the ideal colour palettes you should be wearing. This will make a lot of difference.

I am to recreate a colour combination, I would love to recreate the lavender and mint. What colour will you be willing to recreate?
